The Story Behind ONLINE RISK & COMPLIANCE

Online Risk & Compliance  was founded not just as a business—but as a response to years of experience working as a government contractor, and later as a contracting officer & the empathy that was felt watching others, who often inhereted many issues struggle.  The clear need was to drive clarity, trust, and fairness where it's sorely needed.

 

EJ Smith, a retired U.S. Army veteran, former federal contracting officer, and one of the very few government officials in the field of contracting that had spent over two and a half decades navigating the intricate landscape of risk management, compliance, and security as a business owner. He’d seen the system from both sides, which was rare—first as a contractor struggling to meet complex requirements, then as the official holding others to those same standards.  However, he found many of those within the system lacked the experience, or appreciation that seemed to plague contractors.

 

But the real catalyst came when a group of fellow veterans who were also business owners, entrepreneurs, and managers came knocking. They didn't want complex, beuraucratic hype, just a straight solution to help them.   They wanted simplicity.   They wanted to create a force multiplier for businesses drowning in red tape, conflicting standards, and vague advice.  

 

Together, they launched OmniSpect Solutions Group, and from it, Online Risk & Compliance was born.   

 

Rooted in real-world insight and military precision, the company was designed to deliver clarity, integrity, and true operational relief for small to mid-sized organizations facing overwhelming compliance challenges.  Online Risk & Compliance doesn’t just offer advice—it helps clients breathe easier, knowing they’re protected, prepared, and fully supported.
